Terms of service

Last updated: October 28, 2026

These terms apply when you book a consultation on CanadaAcademicGuide.com. By booking, you agree to them.

What the service is

Consultations offer general academic and career guidance about studying in Canada, based on the information you share and on publicly available official sources.

We don't provide immigration, visa, or legal advice, and we can't guarantee admission to any program, a study permit, or any other outcome. Requirements change, so always confirm details with the institution and the Government of Canada before making decisions.

Booking and payment

  • Prices are in Canadian dollars and paid in full when you book, through Stripe.
  • Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. You'll receive a confirmation email with your session details.
  • Sessions take place online by video call (Google Meet). You need a stable internet connection.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are generally non-refundable.
  • If you miss your session without cancelling, it's treated as a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice.
  • If we need to cancel, you can choose a full refund or a new time.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days.

You can cancel using the link in your confirmation email.

Rescheduling

You can reschedule once, at least 24 hours before your appointment, using the link in your confirmation email.

Your responsibilities

Please give accurate information in the booking questions so the session can be prepared properly. Decisions about your studies, applications, and finances remain yours.

Limitation of liability

Guidance is given in good faith using the information available at the time. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a consultation is limited to the amount you paid for that consultation.

Privacy

How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we update them, the date above changes. Questions: support@canadaacademicguide.com.
